About Atlas Church

Atlas Church is a new church in Waukee, Iowa, helping people discover and delight in Jesus. We believe Jesus is the greatest treasure anyone can find, and we want our neighbors, friends, and families to experience the joy of knowing Him.

Our Story

Atlas Church is a new church plant in Waukee, Iowa, sent out by Living Waters Fellowship and planted in partnership with the Engage Network. Atlas began with a simple desire: to see ordinary people discover that Jesus is not just important, but infinitely valuable.

As God led Rob and Holly Pearson toward church planting, He steadily opened doors, confirmed direction, and gathered people around a shared vision. What began as prayer and obedience became a growing team of families committed to seeing a gospel-centered church established in Waukee.

Today, Atlas exists because we believe Jesus changes lives, communities, and homes.

Why Atlas?

To find treasure, you need a map.

The name Atlas comes from the picture Jesus gives in Matthew 13:44, where a man discovers a treasure hidden in a field and joyfully gives everything to have it.

We believe Jesus Christ is that treasure.

Our prayer is that Atlas Church becomes a place where people in Waukee and beyond discover Him, delight in Him, and learn to follow Him in everyday life.

We want to help people navigate life through the truth of God’s Word while finding joy in the One worth following.

Mission

Helping people Discover and Delight in Jesus

Vision

We see a Waukee where ordinary people in ordinary jobs, neighborhoods, and homes discover Jesus as the greatest treasure, and where delighting in Him reshapes everything else.

What Kind of Church Is Atlas?

Atlas Church is an authentic, gospel-centered, non-denominational church committed to teaching the Bible faithfully and clearly.

We hold to the historic Christian faith as summarized in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds and believe Scripture is God’s sufficient and authoritative Word for life and faith.
